  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. For the frosting, melt the butter until golden brown, then mix with powdered sugar. Spread on cooled cake.
