- 1 pound tteok (Korean rice cakes)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup fish cake, sliced
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 green onion, chopped
- In a pot, combine the water, soy sauce, sugar, gochujang, and gochugaru. Bring to a boil.
- Add the tteok and fish cake to the pot, simmering until the tteok is soft.
- Once the sauce thickens, reduce the heat and add mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover the pot until the cheese is melted, then stir to combine.
- Garnish with chopped green onion and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding vegetables like cabbage or carrots.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less gochujang.
