Chocoflan – The Impossible Cake

Chocoflan, also known as The Impossible Cake, is a decadent dessert that combines a rich chocolate cake and a smooth flan in a single, impossibly delicious cake!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, blend sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk.
  5. In a greased cake pan, pour the chocolate batter first, followed by the milk mixture on top.
  6. Bake for about 50–60 minutes, or until set.
  7. Let cool, then invert onto a serving plate.

Notes

  • For best results, let the cake chill in the refrigerator before serving.
  • Garnish with whipped cream or chocolate shavings if desired.
