  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine almond milk, cornstarch, honey, vanilla extract, and salt over medium heat.
  2. Whisk continuously until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Slice bananas and layer them at the bottom of a serving dish.
  5. Pour the custard mixture over the bananas.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
  7. If desired, top with whipped cream before serving.
