  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 tsp Earl Grey tea leaves
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, blackberries, and Earl Grey tea leaves until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently. Pat into a circle about 1 inch thick.
  6. Cut into wedges and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Drizzle over warm scones.
