EASY BOURBON CHICKEN

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken in the skillet.
  4. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water and stir into the skillet to thicken the sauce.
  6. Simmer for another 5 minutes and serve hot.
