EASY STUFFED BELL PEPPERS

A delicious and easy recipe for stuffed bell peppers filled with turkey bacon and chicken ham.

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6 strips turkey bacon
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then crumble it.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, crumbled bacon, cooked rice, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Stuff the mixture into the prepared bell peppers.
  6. Top with shredded cheese.
  7. Place stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some chopped onions and bell pepper tops to the meat mixture.
  • You can substitute ground beef or chicken for the turkey.
