  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound spaghetti

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent.
  2. Add garlic and mushrooms, sauté until mushrooms are browned.
  3. Pour in red wine and let it reduce for a few minutes.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.

  6. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
  7. Drain spaghetti and mix with the mushroom sauce.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
